farrell, I agree that numerous drugs will be tested but IMO a priority will be given to drugs that have already been proven to be safe and effective in Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies. If Brilacidin proves in lab testing to be an effective treatment or possible vaccine against the COVID-19 virus, it will be sent to the front of the line. I would guess it would be used immediately on patents as both a standalone treatment and more likely as a combination with other treatments. IMO these treated patients would be a part of a paralleled and coordinated Phase 3 with the FDA and not be international in focus. I disagree that it will take several weeks to start a Brilacidin Phase 3 trial if the above takes place. This pandemic dictates that we are not in a “business as usual” mode of operation.
There is a sense of urgency that none of us have experienced in our lifetime and IMO we don’t have the luxury of time to have a coordinated beauty contest. We could see positive news as early as next week. If that happens IPIX will take off like a rocket.
