Market Cap is purely a calculation of outstanding shares times pps and changes with each new last price and outstanding shares adjustment. There does not seem to be any exchange rules or history to use as a reference in the case of a "shares retirement", so in the absence of information, the market makers do nothing. If we were trading on NASDAQ or NYSE we would've had a bump in pps, but we are in the shadows of the OTC.
