This is possibly accurate but you are making a pretty large assumption here. BDD licensed the technology to Novartis (to utilize) but probably in no way gave Novartis "control" over any other use (or licensing) of the technology. Doesn't seem like this would in any way preclude an association between Novartis and IPIX, however.
