CDEL is normally retail, 40% of retail volume. Today CDEL is acting like they have a dark pool, keeping the high ask but hiding shares below that ask.
There was 5M shares that was added to both the OS and the DTC last week. Normally the financing shares would be added to the OS, but held with the transfer agent, so not the DTC. Maybe this is the note holder converting on both notes and selling now through cdel, since it is not acting like normal retail. That would be my guess, but I don't know since that is very unusually for cdel.
CDEL also has an in-house HFT in addition to placing orders for retail, but they usually make money on the spread or trend, not leading, but following and trying to not be short or long end of day. So very unusual
