Cydy has terminated the contract for cause (I take it after consulting their legal advisors).
So there must be some very serious wrongdoings by and/or dysfunctioning of RP.
It would not protect, but worse even harm, RP's reputation if this would become public knowledge.
A legal procedure would exactly have that effect. Everything he did wrong will be magnified (misplacing the stapler included).
Unless there is zero wrongdoing/dysfunctioning a reputation can not be saved by going to court.
It's about the money.
It's about sending a signal: I will not make your life easy. (We'd better come to a mutual agreement now or ...)
