I'm thinking that it's related to Sacha's project "A nonhuman primate model of stem cell translation to understand determants of post-transplant SIV clearance".
A project that has been going on for 2 1/2 years now.
In this project he used CCR5 deficient donors (using CRISPR to generate them) to perform an allogeneic HSCT with stem cells lacking CCR5.
Could it be that for comparison they've used normal donors and treated the receivers (before, duting and/or after) with Leronlimab?
And that it worked?
That's what I'm thinking....
