Dr. Pestell could only be terminated for "cause" as "cause" is defined in his employment agreement.
Cause, as I recall, includes, in sum and substance, continually failing to perform the reasonable directives of the board of directors.
If this was the cause for Dr. Pestell's termination, and I have no way of knowing if it was, one can only guess at what type of directives this would entail.
Unless Dr. Pestell publicly challenges his termination for cause, we may never know the reason he was terminated.
