Leronlimab will block macrophages, T cells, dendritic cells and all other cells expressing CCR5.
The difference between leronlimab vs. maraviroc is that maraviroc is a allosteric inhibitor and leronlimab is an entry inhibitor. Leronlimab blocks specific areas of the receptors maraviroc takes more of a blanket approach by binding to other molecules and that combination blocks CCR5.
I would guess the main problem with maraviroc and the cause of it's side effects is that it binds to isoleucine which stimulates immune function and controls other important functions.
