If the FINRA short numbers are just the market makers temporarily shorting to make a market, as the "no shorting" crowd claims, then why do my bids sit there unfilled for hours at a time, while other trades go by -- filled at lower levels ?

When you see genuine bids not filled, and phony huge trades getting filled lower -- that tells me that there is very little real trading going on.
