The percentage of short sales each day for the last couple of months, whether anyone thinks the MMs are able to cover by the end of the day or not, shows the relative strength of those wanting to buy to those wanting to sell.
Even a newbie like me can figure out if there is that much of an imbalance prior to the trade that the MMs are not going to be able to cover a lot of them by the end of the day, so NR really must be in deep quicksand in regards to some of them having to be converted to naked shorts.
Since its been months, how much longer before FINRA finally says "Hey, boys (MMs), what the hell is going on with the trading here?
They get the data, but since retail doesn't pay to play and the MMs do it is easy to see FINRA sides with those keeping their bread buttered.
Even if wrong, that is the way I view the situation.
