I wouldn't put up a lot in upfront monies if only the pill is formulated with no knowledge of how efficacious it is, but to get the rights to a possible drug with phenomenal revenue potential I would put up pretty significant back end royalties so if it is a success, everybody wins, and if it isn't go great, nobody gets hurt bad.

I just feel for the good of the world K needs to be on the fastest track possible since the science could revolutionize cancer treatment.
