Required auto insurance in CA is a joke just like most of CA!
You get insurance to get your plates and then cancel. Unlike other states, insurance companies in CA are not required to notify the DMV when someone cancels their insurance!
And CA mim insurance coverage is also a joke! In California, drivers must carry liability insurance of $15,000 for injury/death to one person! Does anyone want to guess how much $15,000 for injuries will cover?
