Identical to someone buying $30 worth to paint it up a tick >> artificial manipulation in the other direction. Everyone knows that also takes place. So what is different about it? Here's the difference >>
Even though both actions are lame, when painting down at the last second before the close, new eyes see that and get the idea that the stock really isn't that weak...just someone trying to make it look weaker than it actually is.
Turn it around >> New eyes see a $30 up-tick paint job and get the idea that someone is only trying to make it look stronger than it is -- and the result could be that those new eyes stay away and not gamble any money on it.
Oh wait. I forgot. People (new investors) are stupid. They would never notice when the SP is painted up one tick. They only notice the paint down. SMH!
