Revenue's last year were almost $12M, but they said they were switch business models to digital. How many users they had when, I don't know. I do know it takes a while to get traction and it seems like they have it now as once you have a bunch of ompanies realizing success, the other ones need to jump on or fall behind.
I don't think they would have sold it for $25M if they couldn't be part of the growth. I don't know if they would have sold it for 4 times that. They could likely double in size every year, but maybe realized why double when you can grow 7x faster or 49?
There is another model that VCs would use and that is to give away everything for free while taken in little revenue to dominate the market. This is what twitch and others did. You could always run ads easy enough like yt and other sites do.
I was negotiating a deal years ago with Google for almost 2M. I wanted it free, they wanted it free with ads. Google apps by the way is $5/mo or $50/year. There are a lot of roads for a company to get to a multiple billion dollar market cap. I bet there are a few interesting twists coming since they have many verticals.
