Super Long Post for Investors: S1E13 redflix [Season finale]

After 14 episodes, including the prequel, this is the final episode of season 1. This was my personal commitment to myself to tell the other side of the nFusz story. The side that only one place is open to hearing. I am not a writer, just an investor with a few words to share. OK, maybe 14 long posts but there is always the ignore button.

After 14 posts I think you've figured out my writing style. A combination of Batman and Lost in Space, I back up to recap the last few episode before moving forward. If you watch anything on TV, they copy me who is copying the 60's TV. Oh wait for the day I do my nFusz video via Get Smart. Going to be awesome, uh-huh.

OK, so back to Vegas. Assuming you read the posts about the days leading up to our last night together. The day before, Rory took a few of us investors out to dinner with the entire nFusz team. Well maybe more than a few. I think it was 7 or 8 of investors.

When we first sat down there were two big tables. I kind wanted to sit with the other investors that I've chatted with for a number of years, but never met F2F, but also wanted to sit with the nFusz team. As we were grabbing spots it was apparent the investors were kinda sitting at one table and the nFusz team at another.

I'm usually the last guy to sit down as I want everyone find a good spot and I can move around later if I need to. Before everyone was seated, I don't know if it was Rory or Denise, but they worked with management to have us all move and sit together in another section that was a bit more quiet.

Uh, who does that? As you've heard Rory say so many times, it's us, it's you and me. All investors, all equal. Together my friends.

Foreshadowing? Hey don't get comfy, we are all moving to a better place, a place we can all be together, uh-huh.

If I were him and I've been in those shoes before, I would say they are barking at me now and all I want to do is go back to the hotel room, order a pizza and have a glass of wine. Rory didn't have to invite us out for dinner. No one expected it.

We were all like "holy shit" when asked that Tuesday afternoon when we were on the floor of the Oracle Netsuite conference. This is how Rory is. He treats people like family. The entire nFusz family treats others like family. Sad that they don't get that respect back but time to move on, uh-huh.

I thought it would be a little awkward meeting them for the first time. Not as awkward as online dating but still. You want to make a good impression so they don't think, you're the jackass posting online all this time? Thanks for joining us tonight you freeloader. You know the buffet as Circus Circus was only $6.99 tonight, uh-huh?

I had this experience only once before in my life. No, not the online dating or Circus Circus buffet, that I am sure is top notch. This time I was the investor and not on the other side. I can tell you it's equally excited and fun.

I was sitting at what we joked was the kiddy table as it was a circular table that was next to the big long table. Dennis to my left, Maui next to him, NT to my right. I can tell you it felt right. Very right. It was nice for Dennis to sit with us. He didn't have to. I've spoken with him before so I knew a bit about him. nFusz is fortunate to have him is all I can say. Bless him for driving two hours a day to get to the office.

I will say, the the investors that were sitting around that dinner table Tuesday night have never filched, never wavered as far as I know.

There are some fundamental things to look at that I think institutional investors will use to based their investment decisions. I'll post my thoughts soon.

Back to Wednesday night. 4-25-2018.

What a night that was. I got there right at 5PM. I think I posted before I was walking around the Venetian trying to find the place and that wasn't my first time there. It is designed so you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

I saw Denise and posse in tow and followed her. Shortly, the place was packed. Totally packed. Hung out with a number of investors and spoke to partners and customers. Met people I chatted with over the last year and some I've know for many years through other stocks. Funny how you don't even have to meet someone in person to build that trust but so nice when you do. At some point things wrapped up. The nFusz team headed off for dinner.

Hey pick me! Again!!!

Actually if I remember right, I think they had a meeting. I know Jeff popped out and chatted with us when we moved to the bar. All us investors did casamigos shots. House of Friends, and that it was. I'm the dude on the right.

That much I remember.

There was still the euphoria from the dinner the night before on top of the Rockhouse experience that happened moments before. Someone said, you want to get dinner? Forgot who. Could have been my stomach or another Shutter Island moment where I thought I was with a bunch of people and realized it was just a dream.

Jack always slaps me back to reality. Doesn't matter. Here's what I want you to know. ; ) Someone suggested we go back to the same restaurant we had dinner the night before, and that is what we did. No vote, no debate, no concerns. There are some times in a man/woman's life you have to go with your gut. And the gut was pointing us all in the direction of good food. Yeah we could have all said, hang on, got to post about where we are going, to see if anyone had concerns, but who the heck lives life that way? Some do, not us.

People say you can't go back. You can't relive an experience. Trust me, we did and even more. What an experience to get together with the people you've chatted with for a very long time, people your trust, but never met face 2 face until this week.

Let's go back to the trust thing for a moment. Yeah I'm a lucky man, to count on both hands the ones I love. Some folks just have one, yeah others they got none, uh-huh.

While the night before was about the company, this night was about us investors. We "traded" a lot of stories, a LOT of stories and had a lot of laughs. Even celebrated a birthday. Birthday are special, so very special.
This was just a prelude to the next event that will come for investors.

It was late at night. I don't know if anyone else in our gang caught it, but I saw the nFusz team walking back from dinner through the restaurant window. Might have been midnight. In Vegas watches stop, but everyone is a watcher.

In my startup world years ago I remember the days of working side by side with my coworkers who were my best friends. That chemistry is rare. That chemistry is so rare. The chemistry is there. I always think the difference between a team winning the SuperBowl or World Series and finishing second place is chemistry. There is no second place here.

I think it was 1AM in the morning that I got a text from another investor. Don't remember exactly the time or the text but wow, soaking in the last few nights.

excited-baby-back-car.gif

That was Wed. I think Thursday evening I was too tired to do anything after two incredible night. May have just walked over to the mall to grab dinner and think, what just happened?

On Friday I caught an Lift to the airport. A young lady picked me up. I swear it was a Lift driver! uh-huh.

We were chatting about Vegas and she asked me a few questions. I found out she served 4 years in the Navy on a fueler. I think that's what she called it but could be totally wrong as I wasn't writing her into Redflix script at that point. I didn't know what that was and asked if there was a crew of 10 people on that. Boy was I off. Way off.

I found out from her, being in the Navy was the best experience in her life. She wishes she never left. Got to see places redspeed never did, probably never will. Captain would ask them were they want to go and they would work it into the plans. She was so nice, so well spoken. I thought if I was hiring I would hire her in a second. She was so positive on life. I was wondering why others can't be.

Reminded me there are many people that are watching out for your best interests that you may never be aware, never meet or might not appreciate. She put it all into perspective.

I mentioned in a previous episode about watching the Thunderbirds and BlueAngels. As I got out of her car, I was thinking thank God not there are giving people in this world that aren't in it for just themselves.
