Tandem solar cells of silicon and perovskite has been garnering a quite a bit of interest the past couple of years with the rapid advancements being made with perovskites. Here is an article that is a good discussion about it.

It does seem that a tandem use would be able to hit the market much quicker than the years of time to get acceptance of a new material standing alone.
Does QMC have JDA's with existing solar companies? If not they should, I believe.
