The problem with BP's "conspiring" to buy IPIX cheap by collapsing the SP is that "There is no honor among thieves".With all the CDA's outstanding and a BP trying to keep the SP down,there is nothing to keep another BP from going for the Brass Ring without anyone else knowing about it until it's too late.
That's too much to risk if you're a BP trying to bolster your dying pipeline.
