"Generalized molecular alterations in many different types of neoplastic cells identified over the last twenty years include p53 abnormalities, pkm2 induction, increased nf kappa b activity, aberrant L1 expression, increased HIF activity, increased cyclin kinase D1 activity, increased myc activity and many others. Many of these alterations are significant drivers of the neoplastic phenotype. It is hoped that by inhibiting or reversing the alteration whether with a small molecule or with a monoclonal, the neoplastic phenotype could be tempered to the point of improving a cancer patient's condition. Obviously an informed person re. Cancer treatment research...is P53 first on the list because its e most widely recognized cause of the "neoplastic phenotype"? No need to go into great detail, just wondering if P53 aberrations were widely recognized as causative
