It appears the latest Samsung QD TV's are a hit. Their earlier version were not as well received as reported to me by the sales people in different stores. In Fry electronics in Houston, it was reported to me by one sales person in Feb this year that people shopping in the store are liking the color and general characteristics of the latest Samsung QD TV's relative to OLED.
About 10 days ago, while visiting with a different salesman about high end TV's in the same store; he said several times to me that they are "selling a lot of them." (QD that is). The QD TV and OLED TV were very close to the same in price for the same size TV.
I would assume the display industry is watching how Samsung sales and features are being received by consumers very closely. A good sign...success brings out more manufacturers to market.
