Hawks, on Keto one can eat veggies not on the list, like broccoli, corn, celery, lettuce and cauliflower, plus nuts and seeds and some fruits. I eat a lot of salads. There are many choices of fiber.
Paleo allows more fruits, but Keto allows more dairy(plain yogurt, cottage cheese ans some other cheeses, full fat).
I am diabetic and trying to get off meds. I admit to cheating. But the main grains--wheat, corn and soy are out, as well as beans, sugar.
I cheat with ice cream, but just occasionally.
