The problem is not with the DD and the potential of the company. The problem is in the loss of potential profits here that the reverse split causes and we all know it. Yes, the stock might still be a solid long term investment, but who the hell cares now? It's no longer the massive, retirement generating whale of profits that many of us thought it might be. There are many people who would have retired if this thing went to $5. Nobody is retiring off this stock even if it goes to $5 now. Hell, I won't even break even at $5 after it splits, whereas I would have been a multi-millionaire at $5 without the split.
Its not the idiots who sold. Its mostly the people who felt that a reverse split was going to drop the price so low that it no longer made sense to hold onto it. That's not an idiotic move. It's a reasonable move given the set of circumstances they were presented with. TBH, I haven't sold yet, but I can tell you right now that I was closer than I've ever been to liquidating it all today. The only reason I haven't sold is because this investment was only 1/5 of my retirement account and I have time to wait and see what develops after the financials. If this were my entire retirement, I would have sold it all today.
We did get hosed. Totally screwed if the reverse split goes forward. On a very serious note, I feel for those of you who put everything into this. I really do. That's not sarcasm or condescension; it's real empathy. I'm sure many people are feeling that but it seems to largely have gone unsaid in here.
Good luck to those who've held. I really hope this goes well for us and the financials help us break even.
