This has been discussed many times on this board and I am not convinced that insurance companies will be able to help bSafe nor Fleetsafe sales. They could identify the need for our types of Apps in every vehicle, but I don't think they would sell our Apps.
What I hope is that insurance policy wording include a clause along the lines that should you be involved in a accident where it was determined a phone or other communicative device was being used, the insurance policy will not respond to any 1st party property damage claim, AND your policy will be immediately cancelled. I don't think they would be able to disregard others property damage or a liability claim.
If every agent explained that prior to signing, we would begin to see millions of bSafeMobile Apps fly off the shelves at Target, Walmart, OReilly's, Best Buy and everywhere else. We need ONE large insurer to start the process and you can bet your ass that within one year, every auto policy would incorporate the language.
