Florida has new DD laws coming onto the State Senate floor to be voted on. Florida has one of the most lax laws in effect for any state in our nation. The police are NOT allowed to pull you over when they see you using any communicative device (phone, iPad,,,) , but CAN add an additional twenty dollar fine for using a phone if they pull you over for a separate infraction (speeding,,,erratic driving,,,). I have tweeted 6 state representatives begging for more stringent laws and fines to be adopted. I am hoping to finally see some teeth in distracted driving laws and fines in my state.
