Oh god here we go again. Look, its a legit question. Shares do not just "disappear". I guess my assumption that the company will be buying back shares on the open market and retiring them is the answer. I just do not remember this being said and was wondering what their plan was.
I am not pointing fingers but I feel maybe some of the posters who responded to my question do not actually understand how the process works. Sure, we can vote to reduce the a/s but HOW are we reducing it? You dont just vote and half the shares go "poof". That is my question. I am ASSUMING that the buyback that was announced will result in the company RETIRING those shares as that is the only other way I can think of to reduce a/s other than "I will not mention it"
