Most companies have small gifts they hand out to their shareholders at their annual meetings. I see this as a suggestion not as a problem and they probably have already have someone assigned to set up and provide for the meeting. At the August 2015 meeting I attended $10 gift cards were handed out to attendees. When you come to the meeting you don't have to take one.
