i think the way that could work is if they have customers that don't need a definite delivery date then they can piggyback their LTL loads onto another LTL carrier that is going to the same destination provided there is room on the truck. I once knew of a guy that did something along those lines. I have no clue how he did it but he had a trucking company with no trucks! He was just a broker or something like that.
