Here is a September 2017 Nanosys presentation I hadn't seen before with some interesting stuff about how the costs have come down, the next phases of QD display technology, and Nanosys specs including blue QDs.
They are saying right now, Cd-free QDEF uses 0.3g/m^2, and a 60" TV is almost exactly one square meter, so about 0.3g/60" TV. They also show a chart that suggests current QDEF cost is ~$30/m^2. That's .3g QD's and 50g resin. I would think that resin is fairly inexpensive and that most of the cost is in the QDs which would make the QD cost ~ <$100/g. The chart shows QDEF cost falling to <$10/m^2 sometime 2020-21.
