Yes TH, I think UIHC next 10Q is going to be a disaster- a huge EPS miss.
However, it's a low volume stock that was strangely trending up after Irma hit so I bailed on my second short, resulting in an ouch. It's now made the turn down so I jumped back on it with a heavy short this afternoon after taking a small, second win at MRTX- that of big volume but also acting strange. When they don't behave right, I leave 'em.
I may just park on* UIHC through Earnings on Nov 1st so not to miss the down ramp.
Note: it also has exposure in Texas, Georgia and South Carolina. It claims to have some super sophisticated policy writing software that spreads the risk geographically but I think it basically collected high premiums in high risk areas and is about to get drilled.

*This is my adaptation of what the southern food waitress said, as she stood over me, pointing, "are you still eat'n on that?"
Love those regional colloquialisms! lol
