Re-shorted this perilously exposed from hurricanes company on the Thompson downgrade to SELL and the State of Florida Insurance Regulator revealing Monday that policyholders have thus far filed almost $2 billion in claims to insurers for damage from Hurricane Irma. A significant portion of UIHC business is in Florida.
On September 18, 2017 Thomson Reuters/Verus downgraded UNITED INSURANCE HOLDINGS CORPORATION (UIHC) from HOLD to SELL.
