Hawk, yes robotics are replacing workers in factories and everywhere else. Most are programmed but some, like drones may still require a remote pilot (worker).
The link below is to the Robot Report website and a list of all the different niches that robots are getting used. All have double digit growth forecast, but there is a wide disparity in the forecasts. In the future, QD could be in the sensors, RFID, inks and the battery of robotics.
