Here's the link to Yole's MicroLED sample report. Note that the slide PPT is accessible on the right side of the screen. Unfortunately, I can't tell if the report is fully considering what the blue QD means for MicroLED.
The sample report only shows either TFT backplane or MicroLED chips will supply the BLU for MicroLEDs. Both require extra steps of lifting, transfer and placement of LEDs. The best and most elegant solution is a printed EL Blue QD film as the backlight layer. Just drop it in front of a red and green color filter film and its done! No diodes needed! And QMC gets to sell blue QD in addition to the Red and Green for the display. (NOTE: I cannot tell from the sample if Yole considered this solution in their report).
