Wow. There are a few outliers there -- the 5, 7, 9, and 14% days. Do you think that's what the actual "honest" FINRA number would be -- when there's no manipulation and that's either actual short sales or market maker temporary shorts?
Because that's what I think. The market makers certainly do NOT do a significant amount of shorting to give people rapid executions on trades. I know that because on several occasions I waited at least 10 minutes to get filled, even though my bid was AT THE ASK. One notable time I got filled in 10 and 100 share increments -- over a period of 20 minutes.
