It would be good if we can agree to disagree about the FINRA daily data. No one is going to change their position now.
All involved in this debate are valued posters, so please don't take this personally.
Some of us think it's a useless number.
Some of us like to see it, in case we can figure out a pattern over time.
Please -- if you don't want to see the number, put AlanC on ignore, or just skip past those posts.
But we keep going around and around in circles about this, and the answer is -- none of us knows what the data means, although the market makers, with their added levels of data, probably DO have some way of gleaning info from it.
For those who are concerned that it scares off new investors, keeping this as a hot topic of discussion does more to scare them off.
