So let me get this straight, because we can quantify the impact of a known contributor or suspected contributor, we shouldn't do anything at all?
That's not quite the logic that I used to diagnose solutions to potential problems.
For instance, I notice a small amount of water running down the side of my house. I know it could be a roof leak, a pipe leak, or my air conditioner condensation. But, since the leak is on the second floor and unreachable from the ground, I know I can get a ladder and check it out, but that would require me to buy or borrow a ladder. I don't want that added cost right now although it could save me hardship later. I guess I should just let it go for now until it's actually a problem that needs immediate attention.
