Before Samsung bought them, there was news out of Taiwan that the QD Vision branch there was going bankrupt (I'm struggling to find the article again). They also had the lawsuit from Nanosys.
They also were only worth $70 million. Why would their valuation only be a few times higher than QMC if they had a solid business with revenues?
