No other AMERICAN BASED airline can fly the route.
I believe the next airline to take the direct route would have to be a Russian based airline, and then after a time of flying , a US based airline could also fly the route.
The only thing is.......that route has become of little value when you look at the ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS and UNPRECEDENTED value of what is going on at New York International Airport.
