IMO you would have to do some digging into the DD here but in short the route was awarded to Baltia, over other carriers that applied for the direct route from JFK to St. Petersburg for 3 years exclusive. Meaning, no other airline can fly direct route from JFK to St. Petersburg until 3 years after USGlobal starts using it. USGlobal has stated in past financials that the nonstop route would be an 8 hour flight. Go to google flights and you can see other flights on this route are 10+ hours, therein lies the huge market advantage of this route.
