This is my opinion on subscription. The 2-3 year old or more movies should be under subscription except for those remasters of classic movies that people want to see regardless how many times they have seen them. New ones and live sports should be the pay per view. The free content can be add-free for extra amount of dollars on top of subscription like red youtube if people dont want ads. Subscription with profit sharing for the content owner especially for independent gets paid a percentage depending how much views their movies get. This can be used to negotiate with them without upfront monetary compensation. Add one or two new ones for a very limited time a month as perks for staying as subscribers. That will keep people to subscription and pay for the 48hr new movie as well .
