DEA has been operating for years and making up their own rules. Hemp shouldn't be on a schedule at all because it's industrial. No THC or measurable CBDs either. But it's banned. Marijuana is there because the feds haven't figured out how to control the tax money yet in a reasonable manner. It's not narcotic nor is it physically addictive. Psychologically yes, physically, no.

The DEA was formed by Nixon with his war on drugs and we know how well his term in office went. DEA IMO should be disbanded and Congress should pony up and make reasonable laws for drugs. Not TPTB that have interests elsewhere. Like big pharma.

Good move for what is in place, but not enough IMHO.
