My partner and I played in two events. The first event went well and we came in 3rd in a field of maybe 90 pairs. The 2nd event was a disaster and we were probably 3rd from the bottom out of around 100 pairs, I didn't even bother to look. Tendonitis was setting in and I was hurting too much to think. I'm hobbling around with the aid of a cane today. Fortunately, my partner wasn't shining either so I wasn't completely responsible in our race to the bottom. Things were going so bad at one point she threatened to cut off my head and hide it from me. We have been partners for over 30 years.
