Don't think your 1 for 4 ratio idea would be the case, unless both QMC and QMA were of equal size and equal number of shares.
Also, I'm in no rush to see QMA change from being a private company and jumping onto the Chinese stock market. I do not want to own shares in any company that only trades on the Chinese stock exchange, maybe if there were ADR's on an American exchange. Then we could trade them in dollars. Ask your broker if you could add Chinese shares in QMA into your brokerage account.
For me, keep it simple. QMC maintains 25% ownership of QMA and 50% of the QMA profits flow to QMC books each quarter and the 25% ownership of QMA adds value to QMC shares based on the value of QMA as a company.
