Valid points on film development, but if you read the progression of PRs from summer until now, this development has been an iterative process. They've been sending sample after sample to their film partner and have been tweaking the qdot formulation each time to enhance the film performance. I think that the film was shown at CES as a demo that showed that they were complete with development and ready to move to full prototype and/or commercial production. We've been asking for a demo for many months. They deliver that, but many still weren't happy with that progress.
