Big pigs are raised on concrete floors, slanted so the waste is washed into a drain and flows to a lagoon where it is sprayed out on open ground to dry. don't be down wind of the lagoon on a hot summer day in NC. Fairly humane treatment, until the day they're turned into bacon.
