I do believe there's big money on the table, and they're at risk of loosing it. Right now it sounds to me that they are trying there hardest to get shareholders to turn on the company, I believe the toxic lenders are a part of this little game they're playing, but as far as details there's no telling
There are only a couple brokerages that will allow you to short pennies, sure trader is one of them. Think they're out of the Bahamas, but to short pennies the margin requirement is ridiculous. " from sure traders margin fees". Shorting stocks below $2.50 require a $2.50 per share equity requirement. ($2.50 Rule). For example: If you short 1,000 shares of stock valued at $1.00 per share, you will need at least $2,500 equity in your account.
So to put up 2.50 per share To short a ticker that's been sitting at .0015 forever is kind of insane, I'm not saying I'm right, maybe there's another angle I'm missing. But shorting doesn't make sense to me, but also I have absolutely no experience shorting pennies so maybe I'm missing something
