The 'manipulation' story is made up by people who believe PTOI is highly valuable and can't believe that it's trading at only $0.043. The only explanation to them is manipulation...yet nobody is buying up the float at these 'low prices'...and then to try to explain away why nobody is buying up the float, investors say that they're tired of buying and that naked shorting must be to blame for an unlimited supply of phantom shares while faking FINRA's numbers.
It only makes sense to those who believe that PTOI is the center of the universe, that PTOI would have such a large, orchestrated manipulation effort trying to drive down the company. The simple explanation is that the founder was a prolific liar who only pretended he could make diesel for under $10/bbl and took steps to fool investors...and now after seven and a half years and after he absconded with investors' cash, his scam is slowly crumbling.
