way too soon......it took 15 years before they got around starting to replace HD.
In addition to bandwidth constraints the infrastructure isn't up to snuff to handle it......maybe in a very limited form 8K will be utilized..
It's also getting to the point where the human vision system really wont be able to tell the difference....imo
