Let me guess, the conversation went something like this:
"Thank you for the work you performed for Plastic2Oil Inc. but we can't pay you the $12,000 we owe you. Would you take a $100,000 promissory note bearing 12% with warrants in lieu of cash? It's either that or you won't get anything."
I know another situation in another xxxtoOil stock (soybeans) where someone was paid $70k+ in stock merely for promoting the stock and threatening skeptics...work which that company found particularly helpful.
Yes, I'm sure those 'in the know' will immediately state that Lawrence Leah put up $100k in cash for PTOI's operations purely as an investment because he's a highly credible figure who truly believes in PTOI's prospects.
