Dr. D, it was my understanding from last Aug 22nd SHM, that platforms were pounding on NTEK's door for their Ultraflix app that had more 4k content than NFLX or anyone else. It was also my understanding that NTEK had to do the encoding to ensure the comparability of their app with the various platforms. Seems to me if they went through all this time and expense which could benefit 4k sales for manufacturers then the deals made should be more favorable to NTEK like being on the box.
