This trial MET ITS ENDPOINTS. Period. It is a success. We have learned things from it that we didn't know before, but the big takeaway is that IT WORKS.
The study was short in duration. It may be (and in my opinion is probable) that the success rate will be higher than 43.7% (when the "non-compliant" aka doctor screw-up trial is excluded), with a higher dose and longer time period of treatment.
Again, I do wonder if dosage is weight-dependent. There are plenty of drugs that come in various dose sizes, so that the correct dosage for each patient can be computed. Even many antibiotics come in various strengths and dosing schedules.
