Seeing we're not at one penny, speaking of acquisitions and buyouts is ridiculous, but that doesn't mean its not fun to talk about it (and even dream about). If anyone were to buyout SCIE, in my opinion, in would be pentax. The video from my previous post displayed SCIEs CEO mentioning the possibility of PENTAX opening channels with their main competition, Olympus. This right there tells me that PENTAX knows they have something Olympus doesn't. And seeing that the majority of SCIEs patents will not expire until 2022, if any buyout were to happen, again in my opinion, it would probably happen prior to 2022.
Pentax has a long history of being in the endoscopy market; all the way back to 1977. What I find to distinguish Pentax from the competition is that they are known for many 'world's firsts'.

Read the many innovations of Pentax. With the long relationship Pentax has had with SCIE, it would make sense that they would want to hold onto this technology and make the WavSTAT4 be their next addition in their portfolio.
Remember, Penatx's I-Scan technology was introduced in 2007 and then again in 2013. This tech can be found on every Pentax website; USA, Global, Spain, Germany, Italy, even the UK.. you name it, its available to the public.

Not only is the I-Scan shown, but look whats next to it. Our good old WavSTAT4. Ready to be sold in the United Kingdom. This then, in my opinion, further strengthens my belief that any buyout offer would be from Pentax.
Concerning price? That's a guessing game in the highest sense. It would be completely hypothetical as no current variables would remain constant at the time of the acquisition. I can think of one company, US Endoscopy which was acquired by Steris; you can look them up on NYSE; they have a share price of 'only' $68. The interesting thing about this acquisition which happened in 2011 or 2012, cant remember, was that US Endoscopy is still around as subsidiary of Steris. Of course, at the time of acquisition, US endoscopy was a much larger company than SCIE is right now, but that's not to say SCIE couldn't grow exponentially in the next 6 years. And if youre wondering, Steris bought US Endoscopy for almost $300 million dollars.
Of course, this post is completely just for fun, and again, talking about buyouts at this stage in the game is more than a 'little over the top'.
